Evidences for the Portfolio

Writing Evidences

1.- A blog post, using proper language, about an interesting experience you had when you were        younger.

2.- A postcard, using informal style, about your favourite vacation destination.

3.- A description of a well-known touristic spot in Ecuador.

4.- A cover letter, using formal style, to apply a high-profile job.

Speaking Evidences

1.- A video where the students casually talk about their routines and leisure activities.

2.- Recordings submitted by the students where they talk about their travel experiences, their favorite dishes and what they felt a healthy life style should be about. Project (Brochure / Unit 5)

3.- Scripted dramatizations where the students will recreate experiences: # 1 negotiating the conditions of a rental lease agreement, and # 2 dealing with symptoms and signs of an illness, in a medical setting.

4.- Presentations where the students will use Microsoft PowerPoint to elaborate on pertinent topics, already discussed in class.

Rules of the Game

- SPEAK ENGLISH...!

- You must be PUNCTUAL. You have 10 minutes to arrive. If you do not arrive on time you can get in the class but you will have an ABSENCE.

- The absences limit is 13 hours.

- Mobile Phones are not allowed. If you give the cellphone at the beginning of the class you will be rewarded.

- There must be a treasurer.

- Tickets will be given to Students if they participate.
